Patty Baker Humane Society Naples has transitioned its von Arx Adoption Center, located at 2400-7 Immokalee Road, to focus exclusively on cat and kitten adoptions, allowing the organization to better serve animals in its care.
By transitioning the von Arx Adoption Center to a feline-only space, PBHSN is creating a quieter, cozier environment where cats and kittens can settle in, feel more at ease, show off their personalities and connect with potential adopters.

“Every animal comes to us with different needs, and our responsibility is to give each one the care and support they need to be ready for a loving home,” said Becca Morris, CEO of Patty Baker Humane Society Naples. “Dedicating von Arx to cats and kittens allows us to be more intentional about how we care for both our feline and canine populations and give each animal the best opportunity to thrive.” Dogs are now exclusively available for adoption at PBHSN’s main shelter located at 370 Airport-Pulling Road North. There, dogs have access to larger spaces, dedicated play yards and more room to decompress, exercise and engage with staff, volunteers and potential adopters.
Cats will continue to be available for adoption at both the main shelter and von Arx Adoption Center.

The transition supports PBHSN’s ongoing efforts to provide more individualized care for pets while connecting them with loving homes. By tailoring each location to the animals who benefit most from its environment, PBHSN aims to help more cats and kittens find homes through von Arx while providing dogs with the space and enrichment they need as they await adoption.

The von Arx Adoption Center is open Tuesday through Sunday from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m., while the Main Shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information about adoptable animals at Patty Baker Humane Society Naples, visit pbhsnaples.org/adopt.
