For one evening each year, a ballroom in Naples fills with stars.
But the real story of Star Light, Star Bright begins the next morning—when the lights come down, the guests go home and the generosity of the evening goes to work for children in Immokalee.
Over the years, support raised through Pathways Early Education Center of Immokalee’s signature gala has helped turn ambitious ideas into meaningful change. It has strengthened classrooms, expanded opportunities for children and helped Pathways respond to a need that continues to grow.
Most recently, that generosity helped make possible the renovation of Pathways’ playground, transforming an essential part of the campus into a place where children can move, explore, build confidence and simply experience the joy of being a child.
And this fall, the impact will grow again.
With more than 300 children waiting for an opportunity to attend Pathways, expanding access has become one of the organization’s most urgent priorities. Support from the Pathways community helped secure the funding needed to create space for 40 additional students, giving more children access to high-quality early education at a time when the earliest years matter most.
For a child, that opportunity can change the trajectory of everything that follows.
At Pathways, children receive far more than preparation for kindergarten. From infancy through age five, they spend their days in nurturing classrooms where experienced educators support language, literacy, social-emotional development, physical growth and the skills that allow children to become confident learners. Developmental needs can be recognized early. Families are connected with resources and support. And children who might otherwise begin school already behind are given the chance to begin ready.
That is what an evening like Star Light, Star Bright can accomplish.
IGNITE WONDER. CHANGE THE WORLD.
On February 9, 2027, Pathways will return to Royal Poinciana Golf Club for this year’s Star Light, Star Bright, an evening built around a simple but powerful idea:
Ignite wonder. Change the world.
Wonder is where so much of childhood begins.
It is a four-year-old discovering that letters can become words. A child asking “why?” for the hundredth time. The pride of solving a problem independently. The courage to try something new. The moment a teacher sees a spark of curiosity and helps it grow.
At Pathways, those moments happen every day. And behind them is a community willing to invest in what a child can become.
This year’s Star Light, Star Bright will celebrate that possibility while raising the resources needed to ensure more children in Immokalee have the opportunity to experience it.
And during the evening’s paddle raise, every gift will have twice the power.
A generous donor has offered a $200,000 matching gift, meaning contributions made during the paddle raise will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $200,000.
A $1,000 gift becomes $2,000.
A $10,000 gift becomes $20,000.
And together, an extraordinary moment in one ballroom can become opportunity for children long after the evening ends.
The results of past generosity are already visible across the Pathways campus—in a revitalized playground filled with children, in new classroom space and in the 40 additional students who will soon have a place to learn and grow.
But there is still more to do.
Star Light, Star Bright is an invitation to imagine what comes next—and to help make it possible.
Because when you give a young child the opportunity to learn, explore and wonder, you are doing far more than changing one moment in childhood.
You are changing the beginning. And when you change the beginning, you can change everything.
